Kuzmenko Family

In March 2022, their lives were upended when invaders attacked Moshchun, destroying the family's house and all the outbuildings in their yard. The devastation left three minor children and the rest of the family homeless. With no means to rebuild and unable to receive government compensation due to lack of documentation, they were forced to move into a temporary structure. This makeshift shelter is now in disrepair, with a rotten floor and deteriorating conditions that make it unfit for living.

Hope returned to the Kuzmenko family when American philanthropist Dell Loy Hansen learned of their plight. Determined to help, he built them a spacious, modern, and permanent home. This new house is more than just shelter—it is a symbol of renewal and a foundation for the family's future. Thanks to Hansen’s compassion, the Kuzmenko family now has a safe and comfortable place to live, where the youngest generation can grow up surrounded by love and security. Their story, once filled with despair, has been transformed into one of resilience and gratitude, proving that even in the darkest times, kindness can light the way forward.
